Celmanax® is a product from yeast extract and yeast culture that acts as a dietary supplement for all classes of livestock. The product is manufactured by an environmentally sound process using biotechnology in a new way to modify yeast cell walls. The product also contains metabolites normally found in yeast cultures.
Celmanax® can replace yeast based products in the diet that contain yeast mannans, plus provide the added benefit of yeast culture.
Celmanax® can be used in dairy, beef, poultry and swine diets. Celmanax® should be used when ever supplementation with yeast culture and yeast mannan is desired.
Celmanax® is especially beneficial for initial starter diets to young animals starting on feed.
How does Celmanax® work? The yeast culture component of Celmanax® provides all of the benefits associated with yeast culture. It can help to improve palatability of the feeds, which can be helpful in increasing feed intake.
The yeast extract component of Celmanax® provides the same benefits of other yeast products derived from yeast cell wall containing yeast mannans.
As a dietary supplement the two products are blended together during the liquid manufacturing phase to produce a very economical finished product. Celmanax® has been marketed in the USA for several years. This has allowed us to fine-tune the product and production parameters.
Celmanax® is designed to provide excellent results at an economical price. With a low inclusion level it will also provide good value in the diets compared to other yeast products.
Celmanax® is manufactured under the principals used in the food industry to modify ingredients by the application of biochemistry. Foods are improved by changing the form of ingredients to affect functionality. Cheeses or corn sweetener are simple examples of how basic commodities are modified via biochemistry to improve the form and function of ingredients. Vi-COR has used this science to modify yeast and change its form and function.
