About Vi-COR®

Varied Industries Corporation (Vi-COR®), is a manufacturer of world class fermentation products for animal feeds. Vi-COR is an established global company with 40 years of fermentation research and development located in Mason City, Iowa, USA.

Founded in 1963, the company’s primary product was a blend of lactobacillus fermentation solubles and corn germ meal. The two ingredients were blended together to produce a nutritional, fermented animal feed supplement. In 1974 the company received the patent for cultured lactic acid labeled under the Kulactic® brand. The year 1987 saw tremendous growth as sales expanded in to the Pacific Rim, providing global distribution of products.

In 1999, Mark Holt, President of Vi-COR, introduced A-Max® Yeast Culture products. The company has expanded sales and marketing efforts by launching several new products and hiring key personnel for research, international sales, domestic sales and technical service positions. Today, Vi-COR has expanded from its beginning as a domestic manufacturer of unique feed ingredients to a company with a global focus in the disciplines of applied microbiology, fermentation chemistry and customer driven products.
